Revainrating 5 out of 5

The latest Intel display driver solved my problem

UPDATE: I received the Intel Display Driver Update today and my issue with this monitor running at 60Hz is resolved. So I increased my rating to 5 stars because it wasn't a monitor. I bought this monitor for my personal laptop. I use it for work from home and also for photo and video editing. I choose a large monitor so I can have many windows open at the same time. You can easily open 3-4 decent sized windows that don't require as much scrolling. This is a very basic monitor but with the features I need. It features DisplayPort and HDMI inputs, as well as a VESA mount. SOLVED WITH A NEW DISPLAY DRIVER. My biggest issue with this monitor is the horrible aliasing issues at 60Hz. I took a text shot with my phone at 60 and 30Hz. You can see that at 60Hz, white text overprints on a dark background (blue cast on text). A similar effect is achieved with black text on a white background. I've tried using both DisplayPort and HDMI connections. I've tried different cables that are certified for 8K at 60Hz and always the same problem. If I lower the refresh rate to 30Hz, the aliasing goes away. I've tried different zoom settings and there are aliases at 100%, 125% and 150%. I haven't tried scaling up because things are too big for the monitor to be useful. This problem has now also been fixed. I'll leave the description and photos in the review in case someone else has the same problem and needs to know how to fix it. I wanted to be able to use this monitor for photo and video editing. With the updated Intel display driver, I can now use this monitor to edit 4K 60Hz videos. There were a few minor issues that didn't become a hindrance. The joystick on the back is very difficult to use to change settings. You should change the settings because the default settings are too bright. I think they wanted to impress people with bright colors, but they're too demanding on the eyes to stare at the monitor for a long time.
