Wax melts very well. It also grips very quickly, but becomes viscous after cooling. I think it's best if you have a proper wax heater. I melted the wax in an old frying pan on the stove and always use the same one. I found I had to reheat it several times while using it. Check the temperature, if it is very thin it may be too hot.
