I have used several handheld tire inflators in the past but I usually use the ones that plug into the car cigarette lighter adapter. I think it makes sense to have one of these in the trunk because then you don't have to worry about charging the battery and you can just use it anywhere. The problem with the cigarette lighter adapter I've used is that the power cords are fragile for them, and if you live somewhere with a cold climate I'm concerned that the cord won't last forever. Keep it at home or take it with you when you have the discipline to keep it charged or know you're going to need it somewhere. I was very surprised how light it is, even with the battery. Light weight can be a plus but when it comes to tools I tend to think heavier is better quality so in this case it didn't seem very good to me although that might be ok. The kit includes 2 flexible hoses with different nozzles for inflating things. I plan to only use it for tires, but it's good to know there are other options. The battery is detachable from the device and has a standard charger. If you turn on the blower and connect it to the bus, it will let you know. what pressure. I like that the tire doesn't lose air as long as it shows this value. On my other inflator, the air pressure seems to be dropping at this reading. You long press the + or - button to enter the mode where you can select the desired pressure level. Once you have set the desired pressure, press the power button and it will begin to inflate. Once it reaches the desired setting, it stops and the tire pressure remains constant. I love this auto shut off feature as my other inflators don't have it. It seems like a good inflator and works well but the price seems a little high. I wish it came with an adapter that you can plug into your car's cigarette lighter as some others in this price range (or cheaper) also have it. But other than that it seems to get the job done and is a good package.
