Review on Fairview Women's Osprey Travel Backpack - Backpacks by George Kapoor

All purpose travel backpack

I have this backpack as well as a Fairview 55 with a detachable backpack. This is very well made and surprisingly easy to transport even when loaded. I like that it's longer and doesn't stick out so much that I don't bump into things or people when turning. However, I do miss the detachable backpack. I didn't think I'd use it for any other package, but it's very useful. I keep my carry on in it in case I need to check my bag and when I get to the hotel there is no repacking, I just open my backpack and I'm ready to go. It's also useful in situations where they say it's too big to carry around. I'm just unpacking the package. Now I have hand luggage and personal items. The main compartment opens easily so clothes can be neatly folded individually or in packing cubes. Also, there's really no organization, so small pockets are a must. The spring-loaded straps keep everything in place well. I found that I needed pockets but I think that would add weight. The best thing about this backpack is the integrated pocket. You no longer need to carry garbage bags to use as rain gear and to protect panniers. This is a sturdy case that has its own pocket but be aware that it will take up some of your space. It could be removed and the bag simply used as a bag when someone didn't need it. I also have the same 70L backpack. This smaller size is more versatile and practical. The 70 is really only good for long tours or winter rides. This size is enough for a long weekend with minimal special equipment. This also works for a week or more if you're a minimalist packer or have room to do laundry and really don't need to pack anything but the basics. If you're going for a week or more, especially in cold weather, or need to bring your photography gear, snorkeling gear or whatever, a larger size might be safer as it can always be shrunk smaller for smaller loads. . This backpack easily fits into all but the smallest regional jet luggage because it folds up. I like to put a cover on my backpack so the straps stay clean when I run it through the scanner at security or in the baggage hold. I miss Fairview's built-in concealed straps, although these straps are much more structured and may be suitable for hiking.
