Review on Green Tidings Natural Deodorant Unscented by Heather Warren

LOVE this stuff but there are a few tips you should know

I've been using this unscented deodorant for years and it's by far the best deodorant I've had - love it. To be honest I'm a smelly person without it. I've tried every major "clinical protection" brand and several other natural deodorants and NONE of them worked. However, there are a few things that I think others would benefit from, which is why I'm writing this review. First, there's a learning curve to getting it done. I find it best to go slow and let your body heat soften it up. Don't apply too much! Second, I encountered some irritation in the first week of use, but I stuck with it and the problem resolved itself, leaving me with pretty damn flawless dimples, if that's anything. Third, over time, you can see the remnants or some kind of sweat stain on your clothes. I believe this is happening for two reasons. It's either a sweat stain, which happens with any deodorant, or I've put on too much. Anyway, it's nothing a little shout spray can't take care of. So no big deal. Finally, I got so upset when I smelled BO a few hours after showering. Luckily, I finally realized that most soaps don't properly remove deodorant from skin and trap odor-causing bacteria! I find that especially with conventional deodorants, which are like tar on the skin if you really test them out after a shower peeling. I found that using my husband's Head & Shoulder Shampoo to wash his armpits removed all residue - I know, CRAZY right? This step is one of the very few instances where non-natural or questionable products have been used in my household. If you have this problem too, try shampooing it - it might work.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
