They fit on a freestanding table. The locking wheels are also a nice feature, allowing me to switch spaces while sewing if I need more room to block my knit or if I want some movement. The wheels move quite easily even though the table is heavy. I've only had them a few months so can't comment on durability but they are very strong reels and lock securely.
