We never thought we could get a toaster lid. I can't even remember the last time I saw him in someone's house. But we have two cats, and we were tired of brushing cat hair out of the toaster ("Sourdough?" "No, house shorthair.") So I gave in and ordered this. It's perfect for our four-slice toaster; full coverage and not so tight that it is difficult to put on and take off. The fabric is a little stiff, but that's okay; it feels like it's being treated and supported. I sprayed something on it a couple of times and it washed off right away. So even if you don't have any furry friends, having them on hand is probably a good idea if you have limited cooking space and are a bit of a sloppy cook. In general, I definitely recommend it.
