I bought these because I have terrible lighting at work and often use a computer with multiple monitors there so I have a lot of glare which gives me a headache for an hour . I'm not exactly sure what exactly this little test that comes with it is supposed to do, I tried a little test and don't think it was necessary to see the difference. After wearing them for a while I could really say they work. I also have a pair of pink tinted lenses which helped but distorted the color. Try them, they're inexpensive.
