The clip does not hold the adapter.

Using the hose to fill the water tank is always a wet affair. This adapter fits onto the water inlet pipe and has an on/off switch. Water enters the tube and effectively fills the tank. It is advertised with a clip that holds the hose in place so you don't have to stand there and hold the hose. The collar holds the adapter, but this causes the adapter to bend and water to flow out. We use a rake to support the hose and it works for us.
