Loud angry siren! I just received this for installing a client addon. The customer wanted to hear the siren inside the house, and they can definitely hear it from over 200 feet away! I definitely recommend this device! uses 12v 1.2 amp power. It also has a normally closed tamper switch on the back of the device. There are five wires coming from the back of the device. Common/ground, red for trill, yellow for continuous tone, and two white wires for tamper. The tamper switch works like this: It is a black plastic instantaneous switch. When the device is mounted flush to a flat surface, the button is pressed, completing the circuit with the alarm panel. So take two white tamper wires and connect them to the alarm panel; one for the DC output from the panel and one as an input circuit from the siren tamper switch. Program the security panel as a normally closed door/window/any zone. IF for some reason someone outside/anywhere is tampering with it, an alarm will sound when the system is armed. LOVE IT!
