The buyer assumes all responsibility for programming.

I went to a local locksmith to program the item. The locksmith made several unsuccessful attempts to sync the remote with my 2005 Chevy Express 3500. Since the product was from a third party and not purchased from their store, I was still responsible for the cost of programming since they spent time on my car. They offered to provide an aftermarket key fob they guaranteed for $125 plus tax and an OEM key fob for $225 plus tax. I came home to return this key fob and even printed out a return label. It didn't suit me, and when I walked past a locksmith in a nearby town, I figured it was worth the risk to get a second opinion (the locksmith offered to charge only half the programming fee if the key fob has not working). not working). After 2 minutes he locked my doors and honked. I had to go to the original locksmith for a refund as it wasn't due to defective parts. Thank goodness I went for the blue shell because it was obvious I wasn't just getting a new key fob from another locksmith. If I hadn't followed my intuition I could have spent a lot more on a locksmith markup. Even if I got a second opinion, I paid the full cost. Even the second locksmith told me that a quarter to a third of the key fobs provided by the customer are not programmed for some reason. I am satisfied with the product and it seems to be of good quality. Just note that programming it requires a locksmith or dealer and you are responsible for paying whether they activate it well or not.
