Goes great with my masks, just needs an extra step to prevent fraying. Take a piece of thread, wrap it around the end a couple of times, pull tight and tie in a knot. Not difficult at all. You can also cut fewer pieces at a time before tying them to the masks. I tie a square knot. It runs smaller than the knots most people use, making it more comfortable for those who need to wear them for long periods of time. This also takes a little longer. I also cut 8" segments. The elastic doesn't give easily and therefore doesn't wear out as quickly.
