Does the job! And lots of buckles. I didn't have to sew. See below

I've been lucky enough to use a large strap every 10 meters to hold 2 mattresses together. That works great. I didn't even have to sew anything. While the instructions and some other reviews mention the need to sew the strap around one of the buckles, you can get around this by combining each half of the buckle with a "triangle slider" (jig for tightening and tightening the strap). No sewing! I can't tell if you need to cut the ribbon into smaller lengths.
