I've read numerous reports of problems with changing directions when moving something on them, but I assumed it was just the nature of these carts to gain casters can be stubborn. when changing direction. However, there appears to be a manufacturing or quality control issue that is causing the problems described. On each of the four carts, one or two casters at the hinge have such a large incline that the metal bracket hits the platform as you can see in the pictures. The red part is the top part, the silver part is the U-bolt that the wheel attaches to and has a ball bearing pivot at the top where it attaches to the red part. At the time of recording they were not yet in use. Of course, if you turn in a direction that allows that contact, the cart won't roll freely and will try to move in the other direction. I noticed they were playing with rolling them on the workbench and looked closer when I saw this binding issue. I'm torn between sending them back or spending a few minutes with a grinder to cut off the part of the swivel that touches the platform. The wheels themselves look decent, but the rest of the build is poorly done. The little tool included to lift the item to place it on top is a nice touch and I see no reason why it shouldn't work. If you're using this to lift furniture, you'll probably want to tape a small piece of carpet to the vertical surface panel to keep it from scratching. I sent them back for a refund. Honestly, it's not worth fixing something that shouldn't break.
