Worth the Wait Bedding

I needed something lightweight for my guest bedroom. About eighteen months ago I first saw these quilts and decided it was what I needed. Times are as they are, I must save what was once an easy purchase. As many of you know, the price for this can be around $40. It sold out a couple of times, and it popped up again. Last time the price went from the $60 I saved to about $110. I was beyond discouraged and started another search. This was rather disheartening because I really liked the look of this duvet and even at full price it seemed good value for money. So I decided to save some more. The price then dropped to $10 from what I had saved. That's why I ordered it. The reviews were very helpful. I was quite ready for a product that was smaller than expected and had a few seams that needed trimming, but overall it was well made. I knew I had to follow the washing instructions as it might have been a little heavier and tougher than I thought. When it arrived I felt a pleasant sense of satisfaction at having waited so long for something and found that it was even better than I expected. The colors are nice, not too bright. My trust in the reviews was confirmed. I put it next to my desk to admire it in its original form for a good hour. Then he went to the laundry. Everything went as expected. After drying (a great new trick for me to dry heavy stuff. Place a clean, dry towel along with a wet item) and on a full sized bed in the guest room, I found I had to use a feather duster. As I said above, I've already learned a lot about size from reviews. The top is sprinkled with flowers, mostly roses and lilacs. The back is purple-blue and pale white. The green looks more like mint than sage, but they look good in this garden. I slept underneath it and found it wasn't too heavy and was pleasantly warm on a cool night (evening temperatures dropped to 20 degrees here). , and can handle a 14-pound dachshund walking across it in the morning. (I suppose it wouldn't hurt much if he walked across it at night, but he was too tired before bed to try it.) Thanks to ALL the reviewers for this quilt set, I was willing to be pleasantly surprised Expected some minor imperfections but knew how to deal with them! My husband admitted it looks great in the room and would go well with our theme. Now I'm thinking of saving money for a matching blanket.
