Eucerin vs Garnier Detailed Review

My skin is very sensitive, combination and very prone to acne, so I'm very careful about what I put on my skin. I switch to a new product as follows: I use my usual lotion on the right side of my face. On the left side I use a new lotion. I do this for about a month before switching to a new lotion unless the new lotion causes a severe reaction. In this way I can systematically check whether a new lotion is really better and check my hormone fluctuations/cycles. For reference, my old lotion is Garnier Moisture Rescue for normal/combination skin. Eucerin has a thicker texture than Garnier's gel-cream texture, and while neither has an overpowering scent, Garnier does have a stronger flavor. Eucerin absorbs more slowly and doesn't spread as easily as Garnier, but skin feels softer after absorbing **First Day**: The Eucerin side feels softer and actually feels less greasy after a night's sleep. sleep as a side garnier. No visible difference in pore size, acne or fine lines (yet). My first impressions of Eucerin are good - I like that it's milder but less greasy, and the SPF and the fact that it's unscented are two big pluses.**UPDATE: 8/1/15 - Day 3** Eucerin left my face softer than Garnier's on the right. To make sure I didn't feel it I asked my friend to tell me if he could feel the difference between the two sides of my face without telling him which side was which and he also said that the left side be softer Now I also notice a subtle difference in texture between the two sides. Those fine lines they're talking about seem lighter with Eucerin (tested by making a surprised face and then seeing how long it took for the expression lines to disappear). I also had a breakthrough this morning and noticed something unexpected. The breakouts are actually worse on the Garnier side (both the amount and the redness of the bumps). I was expecting Eucerin to be worse since it's new and I didn't have the increase in breakouts from Garnier unlike my old lotion. But for some reason the Eucerin side isn't as noticeable on my face as the Garnier side, to the point where I have a very obvious and weird line down the middle of my face marking where clear skin ends. I think it's going to be difficult for me to go a whole month without a full switch, but I'll try to keep going just in case. **UPDATE 08/13/15** Ok, I've reached the limit. I am officially switching to Eucerin. My skin is calmer, my fine lines have almost disappeared and my skin continues to feel softer than it did with a Garnier moisturizer. I drop Garnier, it's my new moisturizer.
