At this price point, the toilet and adapter combo is one of the cheapest deals you can get. I've been looking for an adapter for my silver GoPro Hero 4 for quite some time and anything before that has never worked. I read all the other reviews and they were quite conflicting so I hesitated to buy this brand. Here are the pros and cons I found during testing: Pros: - Extremely affordable compared to other Lavas and the original GoPro adapter - The design of the adapter itself is amazing, the cable is beefy and incredibly stiff and rigid - The adapter also works with other microphones, not just the included microphone. Love has really good gain, nice and clear sound for the price. No stupid settings - plug in and you're done. Cons: - Lava has an incredibly short wire that makes it impossible to shoot further and not show the wire on screen. Noticed a very faint and incessant clicking noise in the background. Not that big of a deal IF you know how to fix it later. As with all battery-powered mics, the Lav doesn't have gain control and the GoPro doesn't, so you'll have to control your voice for what it is. incredibly sensitive - often picks up shirt noises and other body sounds. In general, the microphone is excellent! 4/5 stars
