Expensive but probably worth it
I've had a sporting dog collar in my lab for 6 years. The battery still lasts well and the remote control still works great. My dog swam and everything else with it. Now I have a second dog. I was able to use this collar with my 6 year old system which is not even in production anymore. I contacted Sportdog to find out which one to buy and they were very helpful. I figured I could buy a cheaper version of these but these guys treated me well and they lasted so long I figured it would be best to use what I know works.
