I'm sticking with the iPhone 6SPlus because I need a headphone jack to work with several of my high end headphones. I don't want an Apple AirPods as they lack sound. I've been looking for a solution and I think it's the adapter. To my surprise, the sound quality is very acceptable. Don't get me wrong, it's still nothing compared to a pair of wired headphones, but as a pair of Bluetooth headphones they're very good. I use it with a pair of Klipsche 11i and the bass still sounds very strong and solid. A lack of bass is common with Bluetooth headphones, and this adapter doesn't rob the bass too much. To get the best sound quality, do not set the phone and volume of this adapter to the maximum, otherwise you will hear distortion. I found a medium volume setting on the phone and this adapter is the best. I'm so happy I can keep using my wired headphones with this $12 adapter. I get about 3-4 hours of playtime. It doesn't take long to charge to full capacity as I use a 2.4 amp charger. Two downsides to this adapter method: (1) Cable clutter is still there (2) 3-4 hours of playback isn't much. Not long enough to fly from New Jersey to San Francisco.
