Review on Ultra Thin Permanent Double Sided Photography Scrapbooking by Heather Shaw

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product, better than using double sided adhesive.

I am very satisfied with the product. This is the 1 inch size that I recently bought, but earlier (February 19, 2021) I wrote a thorough, detailed and exhaustive review for the 2 inch size saying the following about the product, here is it: This double-sided adhesive is perfect. I'm a demonstrator for a rubber stamping company and I mainly make hand-stamped greeting cards. When I have thin die cuts that I need to glue onto a postcard the glue can be very messy and I really like this double sided glue. will cut out. Unrolling it from the roll will expose one side of the adhesive (just like a roll of duct tape) which you will then tape to the back of the cardboard you want to cut. The other side of the tape has a white paper backing that stays on until your piece is cut out and ready to be glued. Then after you have die cut your piece simply remove the white backing to reveal the adhesive and glue the die cut piece. Easy easy. I've used several different brands of this type of product, all of which came in "sheet" form. For sheets, cut the sheet to fit the cardstock, peel a white backing from the cut sheet to reveal the adhesive, and then apply to the cardstock. Then after you have cut out your cardstock, to attach the die cut piece you will need to peel the second layer of white backing from the other side, creating an extra tier. There are areas on the edges of the sheets that will help you remove the backing, but when you're working with scraps of web that aren't near the edge, it can be difficult to peel the backing off. The two layers of backing on the leaves are very thin and difficult to remove. and sometimes the glue wants to come up with a base. Thus, in addition to the additional step of removing an additional backing layer, it can sometimes be difficult to properly remove the backing when using sheets. Also, the glue itself used on the sheets may not always be of the best quality. It can be fibrous or thin, causing it to peel off easily when the backing is removed, or not very strong, resulting in a poor grip. I've sometimes found that it doesn't cut well when using die-cutting (or at all) around small parts, leaving you with glue where you don't need it, like in small, shallow holes. Then it can get just as messy or even messier than if you just used glue. I have found the 2 inch size of this tape product to be much easier to work with than sheets, especially for small die cuts. and it seems the perfect size for what I need it for. But it comes in a variety of widths (including larger widths like 3" and 5") and I have cases for smaller widths, so I ordered another 1" wide roll. The product and glue are perfect, just the right thickness and consistency and it bonds strongly and completely. The quality of the glue is important and I am very happy with the quality of the glue used in this product. And you get a lot! It will last you a while and you will spend less. I ordered a 2" roll in January 2020 and have plenty left over (remember I also use them when making card sets for multiple people so I use them a lot). You can use it often and it will last you a long time. That's what I really appreciate about this product because I'm tired of companies overtaxing tradespeople. Whenever possible, I avoid buying products from companies that take advantage of artisans. This product is also neater to use and store since you don't have all those small, different sized leftover pieces that you have to handle like sheets. Virtually nothing is wasted. It is easy and convenient to use. The price was also reasonable. Because of the price, convenience, quality and functionality, I highly recommend this product and will buy it again. And to be clear, this is my personal opinion, which I have not been asked or asked to express. I just love giving credit where it's needed and sharing what I think are good finds with fellow crafters!
