DOES NOT STAY ON DOG'S NECK.

The only thing I don't like about this collar is that it doesn't stay around my Sheltie's neck. I always find it on the floor. It doesn't bother him. It simply escapes him. I can't tighten it because I can't move the metal parts to make the collar tighter. He also has a super SUPER THICK FUR. He has such thick hair and I tried to tuck the collar under the hair on the back of his neck but it still came off. I find that totally disappointing. When I noticed he kept coming down it was too late to come back no matter what steps I took. Although I don't care I just can't understand why the manufacturer can't let this collar stay on bloody dogs' necks. It is INTENDED for dogs with a Greyhound head type like my Sheltie. Its head is much smaller than the rest of its neck and body. That was the first time I heard about this collar. Once, while leaving the barber, he pulled his usual collar over his head and nearly died. He was on a very busy street and the groomer and I chased him into someone's backyard; has cornered him. She told me about martingale collars so I immediately bought one and now find that the damn thing does NOT last. I watched him as he withdrew. There's no point in taking it off, it just slips over his head from time to time. This type of collar must be made to STAY ON THE DOG'S NECK.
