So far it's reasonably functional. It still melts solder but arrived with the temperature controller missing. As a last resort, this will likely work with the settings already set, but I cannot recommend this product. This is especially bad for AM radio or listening to AM radio while doing something else as it creates so much interference that it's impossible to hear. Probably because of the dimmer-style temperature control, which I can't even operate without a knob. I wish I'd bought one without the controls as it's probably quieter.
