I needed something to protect my laptop in and out of the office. This is perfect for my needs. I wanted something that wasn't too thick but still protects the look of my laptop as I'm going to put it in an open pocket (not a traditional briefcase) with documents, planners, etc. It is very well padded and fits my laptop perfectly. If I drop my laptop, it may or may not protect the sides as I don't think it's designed for that. It is ideal as a protector on the go. Thick, well-tailored, strong zipper, excellent padding. The little pouch is a nice bonus, but it's a lot smaller than it looks. It can hold a phone charger and pods. Also good quality but don't expect high expectations for a small bag. I will definitely be buying more for myself, granddaughters etc. Excellent quality.
