Review on Set of 2 Moroccan Leather Poufs - Handmade Footstools for Your Living Room in Dark Brown - Unstuffed and Ready to Transform your Space! by Bryan Moon

VERY STRONG ODOUR, oil stains and not quite fitting.

Update: 05/19/2020 I have let two poufs air out in the sun for about 6 weeks. (This caused them both to darken.) When the weather turned cold and it started to rain, I hung them on hangers in the garage. At this point, the smell wasn't as strong as when she arrived, but still strong enough to smell in the garage. A little over 2 months after I received them one of them didn't seem to smell that bad so I brought it in and waited a few days to make sure my house didn't smell then stuffed it full. It looks amazing and you can only smell it by putting your face on it. The second sat in the garage much longer, but in January I decided to take a chance and bring it. It still has a stronger odor and sitting next to it I can still smell it but it doesn't. just as stunning/overtaking as when they arrived. After the amount of time and work it took to get them into a usable condition, I doubt it's really worth the cost compared to what you might check out in a store. If you don't mind waiting a month for them to weather, or if you don't mind a very strong play smell, they end up looking and wearing pretty well (my kids love jumping on them time and time again to jump down). The original review: At first glance the poufs look great but if you have a nose you can immediately smell a very strong odor of what I can only describe as a dead animal. Other reviews mentioned the smell so I was expecting it but I literally ran out of breath when I smelled a good smell upon opening. I immediately took them outside to air out (we live in a sunny dry place) but they couldn't even be near my open windows because the smell was still coming into my house, my kids kept asking me, what the awful smell is. I've tried every trick I've read to try and air these poufs. We received them a week later and although the smell has dissipated it is still strong despite being outside (no they didn't get wet, I always put them in safe places in the sun during the day and covered them at night ). but I can imagine they still stink if I put them in a more enclosed space. I was expecting a natural discoloration but there are oil stains on the sides and bottom of the poufs. When I turned them inside out and tried to air them from the inside, I noticed that the design of both poufs is very different. One uses a thick pad on every other sidebar while the other has nothing. They appear to be similar but don't match which is a little frustrating as I bought a matching pair hopefully they wear the same. I'm still hoping the smell will wear off enough for me to stuff them and bring them in for my intended use. The extremely strong smell is not pleasant but I think I should have assumed the goatskin would be putrid and as mentioned I'm still hoping that with more airing it would dissipate enough for me to use. But the oil stains are a little disappointing as they already seem dirty when I haven't used them and to be honest I hardly ever touch them because your hands then smell awful. I will try to update if I feel the situation is getting worse or better. I watched these poufs for a few months before buying them and they seemed like a good deal but if I can never get them in then they are more of a plagiarism as money is wasted.
