Failed in less than a year.
This toaster was purchased in early January 2017. It stopped working in early December 2017. Since this product comes with a one-year "no problem" guarantee, I immediately contacted Kitchenaid. They said to wait for a replacement in 7-10 days. A month has passed and there is no replacement. Called Kitchenaid again to find out their operations are closed for the holiday. They have assured me that my replacement has been processed and is now awaiting shipment as their operations have reopened. Tomorrow will be a week since my last phone contact. no tracking number, no toaster. This toaster is only average when it worked. Consider other brands.
