Review on 🍞 DoughMate Artisan Dough Tray Kit: Elevate Your Bread-making Experience by Joel Miranda

Revainrating 4 out of 5

After learning the nuances, I'm glad I bought this box.

Now that I've spent about 6 months making pizza I've finally figured out many of the little details and I'm making the pizza dough I love. When I make a batch of dough, no matter what container I put it in, the lid always pops out and the dough hardens because I don't notice. It's also annoying having five containers next to each other in my fridge (sbs fridges suck when you really need space). So when I read about test boxes and found this set at a really great price, I jumped at it immediately. It arrived and the first thing I checked was how well it seals. Well, that's not entirely true. The lid sits in a groove, but there's no "latch" or tight fit. Believe this and other reviewers who tell you this. Also, at first I thought it was a terrible design, but I thought it worked great. I put 4 balls of dough overnight and even put a few containers on top. The next day the top of the dough dried out a bit. Perhaps my expectations do not match the functioning of this product. Maybe it shouldn't be compressed because the gases need to be released. I just wish the seller/manufacturer would describe the product better to meet the buyer's expectations. I thought about returning the product but then decided to wait because I love that I can store 6.280g balls of dough in it, with enough room for everyone to stretch out without touching them. I can also store things on top of the container which frees up space in my fridge. May I mention that the picture showing this in a fridge is not a side by side fridge. It does not fit in length and occupies the entire width. When ordering this item, please pay attention to the size information. Generally, the box doesn't hold gas, so the lid doesn't come off and the dough expands all over the place. Several balls of dough can be stored in the fridge for a good 3-4 days. Another thing, the included spatula is good quality, but it's easy enough for me to just pick up the batter with my hands. Back to the update after it's been in the fridge for 3 days. I like it a lot more now. Apparently you have to put it in the fridge and let it adjust to the temperature. Once this happens, the box cools and retains enough moisture to keep the dough perfectly moist. I put a piece of plastic wrap on top of the dough, but now that the box "works" I see it's not necessary. it fits in your fridge.
