Review on ELAC Debut Bookshelf Speakers Black Home Audio by Kim Kajer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Frighteningly good! - Bookshelf speakers

Very detailed speakers for the money. Just received but immediately impressed. I'm using a Yamaha R-N303 2-channel receiver, a Marantz TT42 turntable. I also use the Tidal Hifi Music service through BT. still about to be hacked. You are in a 10x10 space and are way more powerful than I thought. I prefer their sound on Marantz. Some songs on Tidal Hifi sound amazing, others are pretty bright. I have a small Vizio center and subwoofer and base for a couple of songs and thought there was a subwoofer too! It wasn't very impressive. These can easily be front speakers for most household sizes. I've never heard the original "Debut" series warmer and more condescending. If I wanted to be picky, and it's not the speakers fault but a testament to their detail and accuracy, they bring out many flaws in recordings while many poor quality systems hide them. still can't believe the price in 2018! Well done Andrew Jones (once again helping to bring hi-fi back for us farmers :) and ELAC!
