I used them to make junction boxes for IP cameras around the house. As already mentioned, the threads on these cable entries are not very long and therefore do not reach into the inside of the socket. I have had to remove the gasket on all my uses to make it safe. Fortunately, they are not used in locations exposed to the weather, otherwise removing the gasket will reduce the sealing effect. Regardless of the size chosen, the threads are all a bit short.
