Update: Have been using it for about a week now and love it. It appears to have a tinted window effect that reduces screen brightness and greatly reduces eye fatigue. There should be a combination of anti-glare (using the matte side) and a darker tint as reducing the monitor's brightness/contrast didn't help. I bought this filter for its anti-glare properties. It has two sides: glossy or matte. The shiny side looks like a mirror and reflects all the light. Matte is better at fighting glare but still reflects a little light. In fact, my LCD monitor fights glare better but not so much. After installing the filter, it acts like a car tint, reducing glare. The sizes are perfect. Make sure you measure as accurately as possible and use the provided rulers printed on the box to check your size before opening the box. Installation is easy thanks to the transparent adhesive tape. The strips are hardly visible when installed. TIPS: 1) The closer you are to the monitor, the more you will see the privacy filter properties around the edges of the screen.
