This is the fourth time we have replaced the hose on our small Oreck vacuum. The last 2 replacements were OEM because. I haven't found an alternative. Both were very thin plastic and failed at the junction of the hose with the plastic part that connects to the vacuum. Cheap flimsy plastic will crack at this point. Gorilla Tape will still work for a while, but the tubing was so flimsy that it just ripped somewhere else. I was looking for Revain until I found this hose and decided to give it a try. It is slightly shorter than the Oreck OEM hose but still stretches as much as needed. Best of all, the hose is made of a much heavier material. It's still very flexible but appears to be much stronger. Although installed in a short time, it lasted longer than either of the last two Oreck hoses.
