I've also owned a Pelikan for a long time and was looking for something cheaper. This is a decent case, but it turns out that the rubber seal doesn't stay in the groove on any of the cases I've received. It appears to be built and sealed fairly well, but I immediately pinched and ruptured the flimsy gasket on one body. It's great for my purpose of storing some non-essential test gear but if you need 100% 100% water and dust resistance. This case is probably not the same. I also see that since I ordered my covers the price has gone up to the point that it's not much better than the Pelican.
