Review on Enhance Your Tablet Experience with the ZAGG Hinged Backlit Bluetooth Keyboard and other Essential Accessories by Phillip Hoover

Good protection, good keyboard, good BT - but only lasted 9 months

I really liked the cover, although it has an unfortunate design flaw: you can't touch the touchscreen at the very bottom because the cover gets in the way. This caused me a slight disappointment. However, over the course of nine months I learned to live with it - I really liked the keyboard, liked the reasonably sized enter and shift keys, the great battery life and the light weight and good protection it offered. Then the hinge adhesive broke (at normal room temperature) and the part flattened out as if it had been hit on the street. So I got another case (Earto Case 7) which weighs more, protects but is thicker and a bit chunky, feels nice and solid, allows you to change the backlight to 7 different colors, small input and output buttons on the right has shift keys side I can't always press properly without looking at it (otherwise it has a nice solid keyboard that feels right), costs more than double the Zagg, has a hinge that doesn't need glue, to keep them together and allows access to the entire screen. Now that full-screen is back, I don't think I'll be going back to Zagg - and I think I like the new one better overall, despite its added weight and tiny Shift and Enter keys. But maybe that's because it's new and working.

Pros
  • Multiple viewing angles allow you to adjust the screen to 135 degrees - just like a laptop.
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
