This was a good alternative to carrying a thin or large selfie stick. Of course a gimbal would be nice but for something cheap to use a stylus for your pro this worked well. The bracelet is screwed, so check regularly that you have unscrewed it. Even when you do this, it still floats on top of it with the GoPro session - meaning it won't fill up with water as the screw hole doesn't really get a grip. Snorkeling with this grip worked well, the camera stayed on and while he was swimming not much of it was difficult to manage. In general, the pen survived a rough ride and was thrown on the bottom of a safari van, stuffed into small bags, used in a lake by a 4-year-old and trampled in the mud multiple times. The logo has fallen off, but other than that it still looks good. My only complaint is the tiny nut used to hold the screw in place to mount the gopro. Every other GoPro mount has the nut built into the mount, but for some reason they made it removable. This is problematic for people with young children and a minor annoyance for anyone traveling with it. I lost mine and it still works, but without it it accidentally tilts a little easier. I'll be going to the hardware store for replacements soon - it should be cheap - but sometimes it's not good to be different. Overall a solid build that does the job and I recommend it.
