Lightweight action camera grip.

I wanted my INSTA360 ONE R to have a longer fixed handle to take it to Disney World. They don't allow selfie sticks to be extended in the parks and that should work for me. So far I'm happy with it, but I haven't taken it to the parks yet. I haven't checked the buoyancy of the handle but I should do it before we get on the ferry! I don't plan on dropping it and a good 1/4-28 threaded lanyard will definitely help prevent that. It's very light, made of carbon fiber and machined aluminum. The legs

Great product, best in tripods and monopods

I bought this swim grip to go snorkeling in Hawaii with a GoPro. I tested the floating ability before and it worked fine. Maybe not enough for rough surf but good enough for snorkeling. I've been using it for several hours and it has worked very well. It wasn't too buoyant to hold underwater or dive to depths of 15 to 20 feet to take photos and videos. The length and tilt of the camera was perfect for my use. I was a little concerned that the grip might feel slippery in the water but I had no…

Good solid buoyant rod with small design flaw

This is a good rod holder for Hero 3+ and Hero 4. Carbon fiber makes it very easy to hold. In addition, the hand strap is screwed to the bottom and has a neoprene texture (which is good for use in water). Drying can take a little longer as a result, but this is a sign of quality and value. The only downside I found with this mount was that the thumbscrew for the GoPro mount wasn't perfect. They provide a nut to hold the screw once it's threaded, but I have a feeling the nut will just fall off…

Firm, smooth, slightly buoyant!

This handle is amazing. I bought this for my GoPro Hero 5 and it's the perfect all round accessory. Definitely recommended if you're wondering "where do I even start when it comes to mounts?". Let's start with that. I was a little apprehensive about how the pen would feel in my hand as it looks quite thin in photos, but when I first held it those doubts were allayed. I decided between this and one of the bright orange and yellow floating grips and am glad I went down this route as it's a lot…

Pros
  • Useful beyond its intended purpose
Cons
  • Out of style

Excellent grip for GoPro - difficult to handle with wet hands

Excellent grip for GoPro. Well built, durable and very light. The wrist strap is comfortable and secure. The thumbscrew is great as its large wing shape makes it easy to tighten and loosen a standard GoPro screw. that's why you bought the floating grip), it can be difficult to hold onto if you're into adventure activities (you know, because that's the only reason you bought an adventure camera), so pay attention to use a hand strap . . Just because it swims doesn't mean it won't swim away and…

Great grip with a problem

I bought my first GoPro and wanted to use a grip with it. At first I thought about buying a GoPro brand but I read a lot of reviews about it being plastic and the camera breaking and it made me paranoid. I decided to look for something stronger and after a long search I found this one. I've seen many mention the bracelet unscrewing but I haven't had this problem with mine, I may have tightened it throughout the day but it never felt loose. EDIT: It comes loose so keep it tight throughout the…

It was a good alternative to carrying a thin or large selfie stick

It was a good alternative to carrying a thin or large selfie stick. Of course a gimbal would be nice but for something cheap to use a stylus for your pro this worked well. The bracelet is screwed, so check regularly that you have unscrewed it. Even when you do this, it still floats on top of it with the GoPro session - meaning it won't fill up with water as the screw hole doesn't really get a grip. Diving with this grip worked well, the camera stayed in place and there wasn't much of it when…
