This is a good rod holder for Hero 3+ and Hero 4. Carbon fiber makes it very easy to hold. In addition, the hand strap is screwed to the bottom and has a neoprene texture (which is good for use in water). Drying can take a little longer as a result, but this is a sign of quality and value. The only downside I found with this mount was that the thumbscrew for the GoPro mount wasn't perfect. They provide a nut to hold the screw once it's threaded, but I have a feeling the nut will just fall off since you can't thread it all the way into the thumbscrew itself once the GoPro is installed. The company had to have a thumbscrew mount like Gopro nozzles usually do. After installing my GoPro, I would consider this a small detail. However, keeping track of a tiny nut can be a challenge.
