First of all this gate is pretty good for what you pay for and I would probably buy it again. All those silly problems you see when people write about the deadbolt being broken or the bottom deadbolt won't open but the top deadbolt opens so the door is stuck? Yes, it's all true. It literally took 3 minutes to install. People unable to align the extensions will likely need assistance raising the toilet seat. Once you have it installed and using the gate and it won't open look at the bottom latch, it might get stuck there. So now you have to remove it again, glue the bottom latch to the top lock and then reinstall it. Generally 10 minutes and you have a good goal. There is a pin at the very bottom which locks the door nicely, but when you open the door it's just a piling up. You might also want to tape it off or just lift the gate up when you open it, even then it's a little tiring but not too bad. I gave it 3 stars because the issues I had with it are all known issues that should have been fixed, but they just ignore all of what is typical of manufacturers like this so I'm just giving an honest review. 3 stars, would I buy it again? Probably yes. The price should drop to around $69.99 then a broken padlock is worth every penny or not.
