Review on Monoprice SoundStage3 Wireless Speaker- Black: 120 Watts, TWS Bluetooth, aptX for Ideal Indoor/Home Theater Experience by Crystal Wille

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Favorite Pros: aptX; various inputs (optical etc.); subwoofer output; economical

I got this as a Christmas present. I am very happy with it. First of all, it sounds very good to me. I don't consider myself a "golden audiophile" but I have a bachelor's degree in music and am a professionally trained organist with years of experience listening to and playing classical organ music, so I know what I need to hear from a speaker. It's inexpensive, but I'm not comparing this small speaker to my main audio system, which is much larger and more expensive. I use aptX with my smartphone and tablet and visually from my desktop PC. I have a compact (1 cubic foot) subwoofer that I often use for classical organ music. Alone (or with a subwoofer), this speaker delivers more than enough volume for my computer room.

Pros
  • Sonic Impact: 120 W of power in a compact speaker. The Monoprice Soundstage3 delivers 20 watts per 1" silk dome tweeter and 80 watts per 5.25" aluminum concave woofer for dynamic, thunderous sound that defies its size.
Cons
  • Vulgarity
