Great sound great looks

I got this as a gift last year and used it as a bluetooth speaker in my garage. A computer speaker, both via Bluetooth and SPDIF cable. It sounds great for such a small speaker. Now I just want a second one on another channel!

Pros
  • Great sound Inside: 120 watt Class D total output | Two 1" silk dome tweeters | Powerful 5.25" aluminum concave woofer " | Connections for additional bass | Robust housing design
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Poor sound quality: portable speakers and docking stations

I read a good review on Wirecutter but I was not impressed with the product I received. I wasn't expecting stereo sound quality considering it's a single device, but the sound quality is muddy and the bass and treble need to be adjusted with only slight changes in volume to avoid distortion. The engraved controls on the top of the device can only be read from a certain angle. The remote control must be used almost directly in front of the device for it to receive a signal.

Pros
  • Sonic Impact: 120W of power in a compact speaker. The Monoprice Soundstage3 delivers 20 watts per 1" silk dome tweeter and 80 watts per 5.25" aluminum concave woofer for a dynamic, thunderous sound that defies its size.
Cons
  • Can be damaged

I got this as a Christmas present. I am very happy with it. First of all, it sounds very good to me. I don't consider myself a "golden audiophile" but I have a bachelor's degree in music and am a professionally trained organist with years of experience listening to and playing classical organ music, so I know what I need to hear from a speaker. It's inexpensive, but I'm not comparing this small speaker to my main audio system, which is much larger and more expensive. I use aptX with my…

Pros
  • remote control: With the supplied remote control you can adjust bass and treble, change the volume, select the input and pair devices.
Cons
  • Nothing here
