This is a very good starter set. I bought it instead of kits because it came with a curling trainer, but I ended up not using it. Slotting tools were great for beginners, but (1) I didn't need more than one, and (2) over time I got frustrated with crimping and ended up buying a tool with ultra-thin slots. But UFST was much more difficult to use, especially with 1/8 inch thick paper. The tweezers that came with this set were a nice touch and they are the only items from this set that I still use. However, I do not regret the purchase. , because I absolutely had to practice with the thicker slotting tool first.
