I have to use this type of socket. My choices were limited. They perfectly matched my end goal in terms of lumens and great looks. They shine in their lamps from afar and I like them very much. However, I didn't even use them for a total of 100 hours before one of the pair just refused to turn it on one day and died. I contacted the seller who is also the manufacturer who responded quickly and politely and quickly sent me a replacement. USPS messed it up as usual and I managed to lose my replacement shipment from China and they were very kind to help me with their US stock of Revain which is not normally for warranty replacement and gave me one another complete set sent. So far I'm satisfied (4/5) despite the very short life of one of the two bulbs, rated at 35,000 hours. They are on non-adjustable fixtures. Ready to try again and see if it was an accident or if more bulbs die prematurely. So far this is a 5/5 product undamaged and the seller assumes this is an accident (I have at least 8 other lamps from the same manufacturer bought around the same time or even earlier than the one that just died). These definitely get hot, although I'm not sure if that affects their energy efficiency and having no other way to back up their energy efficiency claims, my electricity bill has definitely gone down compared to the bulbs that went in first.
