At my last oil change I asked a service technician how much it would cost to install backup sensors on my 2018 CRV. They wanted $500 for parts and $300 for labor. When I saw this system so cheap I figured it wouldn't be a problem. but I totally forgot that I would have to install it myself. When I was much younger I was more mechanical by nature and did all sorts of repairs, upgrades and maintenance on my car. This has not been the case lately. This was the first time I opened the hood of my car since I bought it! So, although there are many reviews that the installation was easy. I do not agree. It wasn't incredibly difficult. The hardest part was figuring out what to do and how to do it. The instruction manual that came with the system was very vague and appeared to be for a related but different product. For example, front sensors were not mentioned at all (I bought a set of 8). Fortunately, I've found many great resources online. Youtube did a great job of finding out how to disassemble my car and the online forum for CRV owners helped too. After the whole system was finally installed (in two days) it works great! I definitely recommend it. but if you're not very patient to sort everything out, you might want to pay someone else to install it. 5 stars - but I deducted 1 star because the instructions are pretty bad.
