My kids love this daybed/bed. I ordered a small and have two cats, the largest (pictured) is 17lbs so they are big boys. They just fit great. Although you had to assemble and stuff the bed upon receipt, I liked it because it made the packaging better. It was a bit fiddly to put everything in, everything seemed only a few inches apart, but I was eventually able to slide it in and now that it's in, it looks completely normal. The benefit of a removable cover, aside from being washable, is that you can always swap out the foam if you need something thicker or need to replace it at some point. It's just that replacing foam is better than replacing environmental vents, and probably cheaper too.
