The pump definitely increases the water pressure to a much nicer spray. We love our showers and love that we can use multiple faucets with little difference in water flow. We are literally experiencing an 8-12 psi pressure increase. Back. From one of the threads, even with a bunch of tape on the threads and a divine twist, water begins to leak. Now it's dripping at a rate of about one drop per minute. My husband noticed the thread was slightly different than standard and thought he settled on 8-10 turns of tape. Another downside is that with the pump running constantly, it gets progressively warmer, to the point where you'll burn yourself in 15 seconds if you touch it. We don't know if this is normal, but nerves break down as we wonder if there will be a fire or a water leak. *Update almost a year later* The pump no longer builds up pressure. It turns on and you can clearly feel whether it's on or off, but my meter doesn't show a single difference. I'm filing a lawsuit, so we'll see what happens. *2x update* I called Revain and they ordered me a replacement. The pump worked fine again for a month until my wife started smelling burnt while she was at work. She attributed the smell to the pump, which only ran for 45 minutes and was so hot it was melting the plumbing! These pumps are a HUGE safety issue! We've connected ours to an Alexa-controlled smart plug and turn it on when we're looking for some extra pressure in our showers, or start the sprinkler when we do. I'm surprised not everyone has these problems like we do.
