AMIR Indoor Outdoor Thermometer, Digital Hygrometer, Humidity Monitor Wireless With LCD Display, Room Thermometer And Humidity Gauge For Home, Office, Baby Room, Etc(Mini, Battery Not Included) Review

We're using this to monitor the temp and humidity of a wine storage area in our unfinished basement. With the sensor downstairs and the receiver upstairs we're getting a solid connection. Out of the box it read out within 1F of another temperature sensor we had so the accuracy seems decent so far.

I deliver the news paper overnight and I always have to go check the weather outside. It has been in the 50s the last couple of morning and I don’t have to go out because I am dressed to check the weather. This is a very accurate device. It is not even noticeable. This is very very helpful!

it was working until last month when I noticed that the outside temp was showing at 125dwhich was impossible since it was 95d on my other thermometerI tested by bring it indoors and the reading show at 95 but i have the thermostat set at 75

Hanging the sensor outside was made very easy by the design of the unit. I hung it by a piece of fine, twistable wire to a bracket that is on our covered back porch. The inside part sets nicely with the "foot" which is part of the unit. The sensor is about 20 ft. from the inside display part, and the readout seems accurate.

I like to know what the temp is both outside and inside. My last gage (after 10 years) final stopped working. It was hard to find what I was looking for out in town. Really great product, no surprises in setting it up.

The digits are clear to see from across the living room, it's accurate and updates every few mins. I use it for my backyard storage shed to make sure my portable car battery is not being overheated when not in use and in this crazy summer heatwave. With my current shades covering the entire shed, the hot air is not effecting the temp inside it, and the thermometer is making sure I'm up to date.

When I first opened the box, I thought that this thermometer was going to be too tiny to read, and I was going to send it back - it is so small! But I decided to set it up and try it first. We love it! It was easier to set up than most, and connected with the outdoor sensor quickly. Have only had for a week now, but so far so good. Easy to set up and read. You may want to place sensor in a covered area, as I am not too sure how weatherproof it is.

Product appears to work just fine EXCEPT it does not display temperature in degrees F, it only displays in C. Even a Thanks for attention!

My weather app, alexa, car thermostat all say same temp within a degree or 2. This is always off by 7 degrees. That's my feedback.

It was difficult opening the battery case upon receiving the unit. seemed to be sealed shut, but finally got it open.For my situation, the unit is too small for my old eyes. Also, I live in an apartment and the only possible location for the outside receptor was between the screen and inside window.Well a sudden rain deluge fixed that. it is not working.I'm sure it would be fine for some situations.

So far we are pleased with the wireless thermometer. We are using it for our outdoor greenhouse to keep tabs on the temp in there. With the remote we are able to read it from inside the house and know at all times what the temp is inside the greenhouse. Very inexpensive and seems to work well.

I like the size of the unit. I was disappointed that the sensor is not fully waterproof. I was limited to installing the sensor in a dry area. The main reason I purchased the unit was to check an indoor outdoor thermometer that did not appear to be working correctly. The AMIR was within 1 degree f with the other unit so it appears to be accurate. I am very pleased with my AMIR with the noted exceptions.

It appeared to be much larger in the ad. It is very small and I am disappointed. It came in a mailing envelope with no papers for a return. The directions are in the box but are printed in such tiny letters that I cant read them. I bought it for a gift for an older person but I won't be giving it to them for the above reasons.

This is a nice thermometer with humidity readout . I have this in my garage to keep track of temp and humidity when I am painting cars to help in choosing proper reducer . Seems pretty accurate and the range from the outside sensor is very good for my needs . Price for this unit with temp and humidity both inside and out was very good. Not backlit but numbers are easy to read and clear. Would purchase again if I need one .

This hygrometer/thermometer is so cool! It is two pieces, one is the sensor and one has the digital readout. You will need your own AAA batteries for this. It is great because it not only shows you the temperature, but the humidity as well! This is great for sitting outside the window and watching on days when you are hoping for snow, or just general year round weather awareness. I liked this unit BUT it only lasted a year and a half.I don't think this is long enough BUT I don't know for sure.Maybe a year and a half is a normal life span for these things.
