Review on ⏰ Philips AJ3116W White FM Digital Alarm Clock Radio by Brandon Guidroz

I always had a radio alarm clock in my bedroom, preferably one with adjustable brightness, large numbers and several alarm clocks. When I found this one in December 2017, it seemed to tick all the boxes. I received it, liked the look of it, and got to work straight away (although it was unnecessarily difficult to program). It tended to run a bit faster but I didn't mind as it just meant I was definitely on time in the mornings ;) Fast forward to last month, 20 months since purchase. One night my husband and I woke up to the sound of an alarm clock. With three boys in the house we dismissed it as a prank but all three boys denied it. The same thing kept happening even though the alarm was off. It happened a few times the first time, and now the timer is completely gone and this stupid thing just randomly counts down from 59 to zero. I also had to keep the volume down the whole time before unplugging so the radio wasn't on all the time. We have several clock radios in our family, many of which are over ten years old and still work like clockwork. just as they were bought. Why is it so difficult to make a solid clock with legible numbers that doesn't look like a spotlight in the corner of a darkened bedroom?! This is less than 2 years old and of course its return period has expired. As beautiful as they are, I urge anyone thinking about them to think twice!
