I've noticed several reviews saying that these fit large. I think the real difference is that these are not narrow across the toes, which means they allow your toes to spread the way nature intended. I usually wear a 7.5 and that's what these are. I need both knees replaced and arthroscopy on my hips. I have a lot of problems walking in most shoes. But not these. The only drawback I find are these raised criss cross pattern on the insoles that are intended, I think, to drain off water. They chafe the soles of my feet. But I solved that with a thin beige pair of no show socks that I normally wear with dress shoes. Works perfectly and aren't really noticeable.
