I’ve never bought these (in fact I think they might be the most adult purchase I’ve ever made haha) but my fiancé and I were gifted his grandmother’s china and after a dicey move, I decided they needed to be protected (and thought it would be a nice gesture to his mom). FWIW they seem sturdier than the ones my mom holds her grandmother’s china in. They are relatively thick and the teacup set in particular is robust. My one issue is—am I just dumb, or is there no saucer protector? Our china has dinner plates, salad plates, dessert plates, bowls, teacups, and saucers (yeah it’s a lot of plates). Maybe I just need to reread the description but I figured that if it held teacups it would hold saucers too. Our china is from England, though, so maybe it’s just that most American sets wouldn’t have both teacup saucers and dessert plates.Also it took me awhile to figure out how to put together the teacup set! Then I realized the boarder stitching needed to be cut. That just might be my stupidity.I also (embarrassingly) could have used a guise to which covers were for which china. Still not sure what the tall square one is for.I gave 4 stars on durability but got them yesterday so who knows.
