I had maxillary surgery two months ago and I have two foot scars all over my chest. I tried using ScarAway strips but had to cut them in half and use four strips total (8 half strips) to cover the scars! In addition, it was simply impossible to remove, wash and dry them every day. Instead, my surgeon got me to use this brand. I can measure them for each side of the breast and cut them into two long strips (one for each side) and I leave them on for a full week before replacing them. I can shower and dry without even taking them off. The inner edges in the center of my chest will start to peel off towards the end of the week, but that's to be expected as that's the part that moves the most. I've only been using them for 3 weeks so I can't attest to how much they help scars go away, but they saved my life by stopping my scars from expanding and thickening! I can sleep peacefully without worrying that my scars will stretch every time I toss and turn at night. My surgeon has me coming back in 3 months to see how much it has helped fade my scars but I've been told to expect to wear them 24/7 for 3-6 months. I started using the scar strips after my stitches had come loose and my skin had healed, about 4 weeks post-op. If you have LONG scars, do yourself a favor and buy them! They are much easier than other brands!
