The fit of this shoe is amazing. The contoured shape and safety line really keep them on their feet, even when I'm pulling myself out of mud and mud while fishing knee deep in the lake. The outsole is also quite durable and has good grip. I was able to comfortably run, fish, and walk in complete comfort. The shoe's mesh construction provides excellent breathability, but my feet don't get cold when cold air comes in contact with my wet shoes again. Some sand and dirt will get into these shoes as someone mentioned in another review, but I mean, isn't sand a natural exfoliator anyway? I've only experienced tiny grains of anything, but unless you want to get caught in the sand, it's best to avoid the beach/sand altogether. Sand always finds a way, no matter what shoe, boot or ingenious system you come up with. The army taught me that a long time ago. They also make great frog boots which I have tested on my kids and some Target brand garden netting for $1. Try it, it's a great time.
