Slim kills the battery

The fit and finish of this device is fantastic. I loved how it attaches to my m1 Macbook Air. However, I wasn't expecting the phantom power this device consumes. My computer has PHENOMENAL battery life. But if I accidentally leave this thing in my laptop (even while it's sleeping), I'll end up with a dead or almost dead battery every few hours. It also gets pretty hot, especially when charging through. I've had great success with other Anker products, but will not buy this product again or recommend it to a friend.
